Ready to start the Tile TBR Reading Challenge- Fun Size Fiction

As of today, I have officially finished going through all of the books on my shelves that have not been read. I have gotten rid of quite a few of them. You will be singing them on my Pego storefront very soon. I have separated the books into groups. that makes sense of as far as similarity in setting or just in the vibes of the book provides I’m going to start picking one of those tiles and working through it like a bingo card. My goal is to read and review all the books that I actually own.

I’ve picked two books one that has legends and lightning on it and another one that has some fun funky looking sci-fi books. Some of them are YA so they should be pretty low stressed to read. I think it’s going to be a very fun way to kick off the new challenge since it is going to be a long haul challenge. I hope that you all enjoy the ride and watching the reactions to the stories. I also hope that you find a book that calls out to you so you can also share some cozy times with the stories.

I will check in with you later today. I am going to be doing some filming of the synopsis for the books on my current TBR and then start setting up some reading schedules so that we can have some read with me throughout the week possibly even the weekend, let me know what book you’re most looking forward to hearing and reading with me as always thank you for all of your support and I hope you enjoy the new website.

I’ve officially started my FUN SIZE FICTION Book Tile with Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree, and this video above captures the first 30 minutes of reading with me.

So far, I am loving the story.

This cozy fantasy opens with Viv (or Vivian), an orc warrior who is retiring after defeating a powerful monster and claiming a mysterious stone. It sounds as though she has researched this stone along the way — there’s a quote early on (page 5) referencing both the stone and something called a Ring of Fortune.

Instead of continuing her life as a warrior, Viv chooses something completely different: she decides to open a coffee shop.

She selects a building in the town of Thune using witching rods — walking the streets until she feels the right pull. That’s how she chooses the location for her café, converting an old livery into what will become the town’s very first coffee shop.

Cal, a hob who had been doing ship work, is hired to help renovate the space. Watching the livery transform into a café is already giving strong cozy, found-family vibes.

A few early details I love:

• Vivian’s sword is called Blackblood

• The coffee and latte machine were discovered in the Nomi city of Azimuth

• The stone and the Ring of Fortune hint that something larger may be at play

This first section feels warm, intentional, and comforting — low-stakes fantasy with heart.
