Horror. Chaos. So many subplots. Welcome to Autumn Gothic by Brian Bowyer.
📖 Horror. Chaos. So many subplots. Welcome to Autumn Gothic by Brian Bowyer.
I just finished Chapter 26—only 37% in—and this book is complete madness in the best way.
We kick off with a sweet moment: an author and her new girlfriend are on a plane trip to meet her famous writer mom. Sounds wholesome… and then it spirals.
Elsewhere, there’s a woman with a hot table in her basement (Dexter, but weirder), selecting victims for who knows what reason. Meanwhile, a guy who’s supposed to be fleeing for his life decides to stop by a substance den first—great priorities.
And just when you think you’ve caught your breath? Entirely separate people get into a bar fight that feels like a deleted scene from Jerry Springer. Someone probably brought a machete. Someone might’ve been on bath salts (not the lavender kind).
It’s pure chaos. Beautiful, violent, what-the-hell-is-happening chaos.
To be continued.
