Rough Journey, Incredible Ending ⭐️⭐️

Honestly… I ended up loving the ending of this book far more than I expected to.

But getting there?

Rough.

This was one of those reads where I seriously considered DNF’ing multiple times because the middle section felt extremely dragged out to me. Personally, I think the overall story could have been told in almost half the time and still delivered the same emotional payoff.

For a large portion of the book, I felt myself struggling to stay fully invested, waiting for the plot to tighten up or finally move toward the bigger reveals and emotional moments.

And then suddenly?

The final chapters absolutely delivered.

The last five chapters or so completely changed my feelings about the story. The tension, reveals, emotional payoff, and wrap-up were genuinely excellent and honestly saved the entire experience for me.

It’s one of those frustrating reads where the destination ends up being much stronger than the journey itself.

So while the overall experience was rocky for me personally, I have to give credit where it’s due:
that ending was fantastic.
