Sister Wife by Christine Brown Woolley
✨ Book Review ✨
I just finished #SisterWife, a memoir from one of the four women married to the same husband on the TLC show #SisterWives.
I’ve always had a love–hate relationship with the show. On one hand, I found the sense of community interesting. On the other, the way the relationships were portrayed often looked like emotional torture.
Listening to her side of the story was refreshing—even if most of it was familiar from the show. The few untold secrets she revealed confirmed what many of us already suspected: that things behind the scenes were far from healthy. The lack of open discussion about intimacy always felt like a red flag.
What stood out most was how she realized she didn’t have to settle for less. Watching her children build strong, dependable marriages was the turning point. It gave her the courage to see her own worth, stand her ground, and finally walk away.
Today, she’s with someone new who accepts her and her kids. No scrambling for validation, no constant emotional tug-of-war—just love and respect. Her journey is one of bravery, self-discovery, and choosing better for herself.
A realistic adult fairytale—with a happy ending. 💛
