Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas book 1 of 7

Review 4 stars

#throneofglass book one in the #thronofglassseries by #sarahjmass

I gave this book 4 stars. I love triangle that is very unexpected. The kingdom is giving very heavy and dark vibes a dark king who lives in a glass castle and who wants to find a champion assassin, therefore bringing celena the main character back back from the mines that he sent her to years before she is thrust into politics and relationships, her main goal being freedom something that she’s never had in her entire only 18 years of life she must become the King‘s champion and do his bidding for however long he says, with the hopes that she will someday be free, but will she be able to turn away from her country of birth and the people that cry out to her and with the old magic resurfacing, fate may have other plans.

It’s a very girl power driven story, I love the magical elements and that every step of the way we end up getting more background history on either the main character, celena or the people that she comes in contact with and eventually it all seems to tie into very pertinent information that does apply to the main story.

So far just from reading book one it seems that this is a more adventure based and less romance base than the previous series #acotar . I’m looking forward to reading the second book and seeing what path celena takes and also who is behind the dark magical beasts, surely it wasn’t only the one guy.

I don’t wanna spoil anything for you because this is a series the first book #athroneofglass . I honestly wasn’t sure about it yet, I did enjoyed the story the first book gave, but it didn’t pull me in as much as the previous series did by the same author.

Now finishing the second book I can say to you…

my heart has been cracked, maybe not shattered, but it was cracked and at first I was listening to the audiobook cleaning my house and I heard the information but then I thought about it and then I had to pause the story and I had to really think about that……

One of the brightest stars in the entire story, the person who knew the things, the person who brought the hope, of course why wouldn’t you take them away from the story now I’m devastated and now the main character has a new purpose in life.

I’ll be showing up for the third book here very shortly to see what more chaos could possibly happen. The love triangle is still going strong. I know that she’s shutting people down left and right, but I don’t believe any of. It’s over for a second.

Another great romantic fantasy. This one has very heavy plot, which I very much appreciate the romance is kind of there, but it’s not obscene and or steamy.

Overall, almost halfway through the series and I would recommend it to you at this point. I will see you guys for the third book very soon.
