— The Series Finally Levels Up ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My kids are absolutely obsessed with the Vampire Mountain section of this series.
To the point that we have replayed Chapter 10 for weeks now because they keep falling asleep before finishing it… and somehow the only thing they consistently remember is “the bear.”
Honestly? Fair enough.
I’ve been genuinely loving this sci-fi/fantasy series even as an adult, despite it technically being written for younger readers. The worldbuilding is surprisingly fun, with layered social structures, interesting species, unique rules, and constant adventures that keep the story moving forward.
There’s always some new challenge, mystery, or obstacle for the characters to work through, which makes the series feel exciting without becoming overly complicated for younger readers.
But I do think Vampire Mountain is where the larger story really starts to kick into gear.
The stakes feel bigger, the world expands more, and the overall plot finally starts revealing just how much is really happening behind the scenes. It feels like the point where the series shifts from “fun adventure” into something much more connected and important.
Highly recommend the entire series honestly — especially for families listening together.
