How My Neighbor Stole Christmas by Meghan Quinn

Cozy Christmas Vibes but the Romance Wasn’t for Me ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I honestly think I would have enjoyed this story much more as a cozy Christmas book without the romance storyline.

The holiday atmosphere, the cozy small-town vibes, and especially the playful Grinch-inspired narration and puns were genuinely fun. That part of the story really worked for me and honestly carried the book. I loved the idea of a whimsical holiday retelling with its own personality and humor.

The romance, however, just didn’t fully land for me.

The enemies-to-lovers setup felt frustrating because the hostility between the characters didn’t really make sense for a large portion of the story. Even once the explanation finally comes, it still felt like a situation that could have been solved if the characters had simply communicated with each other earlier instead of immediately acting antagonistic.

And the constant obsession with everyone’s nipples?

At some point it became unintentionally hilarious. I kept thinking: please, we do not need another nipple status update.

Overall, I loved the cozy Christmas vibes, the narration style, and the playful Grinch-inspired elements far more than the romance itself. I think if the story had leaned harder into the holiday atmosphere and lighter mystery/comedy side instead of the romance, it would have worked much better for me personally.
